About · the people, the model, the principle

An AI-native studio, built around outcomes
not billable hours.

Three things on one page: who’s behind the keyboard, why an agent-led software agency exists at all, and the operating principle that keeps the work moving when the rest of the industry is asleep.

01 / Founder

Christopher Kidd

Founder · Full-stack developer

Christopher Kidd is the founder of Wingman Stack and the accountable point of contact on every engagement. He writes code, leads the swarm, reviews the work the agents ship, and answers the email when a client pings the inbox. The studio is intentionally small on humans and large on agents — one named lead, a coordinated set of specialist workers behind that lead, and a clear chain of responsibility that never forks.

The model works because the work is shaped like that: scoped up front, instrumented as it ships, and signed off against acceptance criteria rather than hours. Clients brief once, then watch code land in their repo with a reviewer’s notes attached — not a status meeting queued up for Friday that could have been an email.

02 / Origin

The same ship date. A fraction of the bill.
A model that scales differently.

Conventional studios charge hourly, pad estimates, and run on a timezone their clients have to manage. Wingman Stack charges for the result — a working, deployed, tested release — with autonomous agents behind every step. The cost arbitrage is real, and almost no one on the delivery side is incentivised to capture it for the client.

The gap

Old studios bill hourly. The client pays for the seat, not the shipped release — and the studio is structurally incentivised to keep the seat warm. Outcomes-priced engagements flip that line.

What gets built

A coordinated swarm of specialist agents — scoping, code, review, test, deploy, and reporting — wired to your repo and your inbox. One named lead on the client-facing side. Your code, your branch policy, your domain.

How work starts

Send a brief. A written scope lands in your inbox within 72 hours — the same SLA on every tier. Sign off, and work starts the next business day. No proposal round, no interview loop, no calendar Tetris before the first PR.

03 / Philosophy

Agents in formation. Always in the air.
Never standing down.

The phrase is the operating principle. Agents as a coordinated swarm under one accountable lead — not a marketplace of freelancers, not a chain of stand-up meetings, not a status deck updated on the day of the review. The lead is the named point of contact; the agents handle the work; the client sees progress land in their repo, not progress reports about the progress.

Timezones stop being a constraint when the workforce doesn’t sleep. A brief written at 22:00 has a scoping document back before 09:00 the next morning. An incident reported overnight has triage notes attached by the time the founder’s calendar turns over. The shift is steady, the cadence is published, and the engagement never goes quiet because the thread went cold.

Clients brief the mission. Agents execute it. The lead keeps formation. That’s the model — and it’s the same one, large or small, every engagement runs on.

Briefing window is open

Bring us the brief. Bring us the rough idea. We’ll come back with a scope.

Engagements start with a 30-minute scoping call. We send back a written scope within 72 hours — and we don’t send invoices until you’ve signed off on it.
